BIOGRAPHICAL INFO

Steve Lucas recently returns to the U.S. after a fulfilling engagement playing both Raoul and the Phantom in the German production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. While in Germany, Steve also joined the ensemble of the closing cast of MISS SAIGON (also performed in German). Upon returning to the U.S. Steve has performed regionally throughout the heartland – Credits included MISS SAIGON (regional premiere), DAMN YANKEES & TITANIC, THE MUSICAL. Favorite roles range from the delightfully demonic Rev. Crisparkle in THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD where Steve was acclaimed for his comic abilities to the 'leading lady' of song as Chantal in LA CAGE AUX FOLLES.

A native of St. Petersburg, Florida, Steve Lucas studied on scholarship at STETSON UNIVERSITY, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in music (voice performance). After winning the Prince Scholarship at the Farmhouse Summer Camp for Musical Theater Performers, Steve moved “up north” to Boston, Massachusetts and joined the prestigious opera department at the NEW ENGLAND CONSERVATORY where he earned a Master’s Degree in opera performance, while performing a number of roles in the lyric tenor category. Soon thereafter, he was invited to originate several roles in two original musical revue productions at the American Music Theater in Lancaster, PA.
