BIOGRAPHICAL INFO
Steve Lucas
recently returns to the U.S. after a
fulfilling engagement playing both Raoul
and the Phantom in the German production
of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM
OF THE OPERA. While in Germany,
Steve also joined the ensemble of the
closing cast of MISS SAIGON (also
performed in German). Upon returning to
the U.S. Steve has performed regionally
throughout the heartland – Credits
included MISS SAIGON (regional
premiere), DAMN YANKEES &
TITANIC, THE MUSICAL.
Favorite roles range from the
delightfully demonic Rev. Crisparkle in
THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD where
Steve was acclaimed for his comic
abilities to the 'leading lady' of song
as Chantal in LA CAGE AUX FOLLES.
A native of St. Petersburg, Florida,
Steve Lucas studied on scholarship at
STETSON UNIVERSITY, earning a
Bachelor’s Degree in music (voice
performance). After winning the Prince
Scholarship at the Farmhouse Summer Camp
for Musical Theater Performers, Steve
moved “up north” to Boston,
Massachusetts and joined the prestigious
opera department at the NEW ENGLAND
CONSERVATORY where he earned a
Master’s Degree in opera performance,
while performing a number of roles in
the lyric tenor category. Soon
thereafter, he was invited to originate
several roles in two original musical
revue productions at the American Music
Theater in Lancaster, PA.
